Despite the billing, this isn’t a Sharon Stone movie. It’s an adaptation of a young-adult novel about a lumbering hulk who’s not as dim as he seems (Henson) and a disabled genius (Culkin, whose mother is played by Stone). Together the boys find a sense of purpose as they set out on Arthurian quests in South Cincinnati. What sounds like a drippy self-esteem tract actually etches a gritty portrait of urban outcasts.
