Pivoting around Richard Thair’s massively funky drumming and Ali Friend’s muscular double bass, Red Snapper combine Miles Davis’ ’70s groove collage with Roni Size’s ’90s digital soul, while guests diva Alison David and rapper MC Det conjure songs from fractals of melody and rhythm.
