It’s a shame that the remakes on the second volume—by chart-toppers like Wu-Tang Clan, Sean ”Puffy” Combs, and Coolio—rarely rise above retreads; only Erick Sermon, Keith Murray & Redman’s boombastic cover of Sugarhill Gang’s ”Rapper’s Delight” transcends nostalgia with head-bobbing exuberance.
