Call Last of the Dogmen the Parade of Conventions — a gangly adventure tale that begins with the man (the appropriately handsome Berenger) who wants to forget something painful. So he goes — where else? — into the Montana wilderness, only to discover remnants of the Cheyenne fighting elite, the so-called dog soldiers who had supposedly disappeared a century ago. He meets the beautiful anthropologist (the appropriately attractive Hershey), and together they save the tribe and live happily ever after. At least its heart is in the right place; if you’re looking for a comfortably familiar movie to rent, you too are in the right place.
