Anyone who has ever hated a job should love The I Hate My Job Handbook: How to Deal With Hell at Work. Making the most of the Cosmo-article genre, the authors (both magazine editors themselves) have plumbed their considerable experience with backbiting office life to deconstruct the elements that go into a hellish job. Tien and Frankel have compiled archetypal evil-boss profile pieces (”Vampira”), tales of revenge and professional sabotage, and sidebars aimed at moving on (”The First Thing I Did When I Walked Out of That Stinking Place”). Silliness aside, the advice is sound, and above all, provides amusing company if you’re miserable at yours. B+
