In the title role, Singer looks weathered but still in shape, and Warner, while no Rip Torn, makes a suitably depraved evil warlord. Unfortunately, someone had the bright idea that Singer’s Dar needed an African-American sidekick — for that buddy-movie feel — and should spout the contemporary wisecracks heard on TV’s Hercules.
