Blue’s evanescent charm and multiculturalism is reflected in its soundtrack: Soul Coughing’s funky travelogue, Lou Reed’s wry ode to the egg cream, and La Casa’s earthy salsa. But Geggy Tah’s mugging of War’s ”Why Can’t We Be Friends?” could qualify as a race crime, and Danny Hoch’s aggressively unfunny monologues (not from the movie) litter the album.
