What could be more obnoxious than a movie starring Bobcat Goldthwait? How about one that he also wrote and directed? In his debut as an auteur wannabe, Goldthwait plays Shakes: an angry young clown who performs at kiddie parties, gets blotto with his clowning colleagues, and bashes sidewalk mimes to blow off steam. Briefly released in theaters last spring, it may attract a cult following on video. Let’s hope not. This is a movie only a sick bozo could love. D-
