Call it the corpse that launched a thousand careers. From the moment Laura Palmer washed ashore on ABC’s Twin Peaks, the actors on David Lynch’s cult hit have enjoyed a flood tide of movie offers. Filming is almost completed on the prequel feature, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, due out next spring, and the list below will help you track the post-Peaks careers of your favorites.

Madchen Amick (Shelly Johnson) appears in Stephen King’s Sleepwalkers (spring ’92).

Dana Ashbrook (Bobby Briggs) stars as Clyde in Fox TV’s Bonnie and Clyde (January).

Lara Flynn Boyle (Donna Hayward) plays the new girl on the block in Where the Day Takes You (May) and Wayne’s ex in Wayne’s World (February).

Joan Chen (Josie Packard) has completed filming on Turtle Beach (spring ’92).

Sherilyn Fenn (Audrey Horne) stars in Ruby with Danny Aiello, due early next year, and in Of Mice and Men (April) with John Malkovich.

Piper Laurie (Catherine Martell) appears in next summer’s Rich in Love with Albert Finney and in Storyville, the latter directed by Peaks‘ cocreator Mark Frost, due out next spring.

Sheryl Lee (Laura Palmer/Madeleine Ferguson) costars in Jersey Girls with Jamie Gertz (spring ’92).

Peggy Lipton (Norma Jennings) appears in New Guns (fall ’92) and is developing her own TV series with Quincy Jones Entertainment.

Kyle MacLachlan (Agent Dale Cooper) has an affair with his wife’s teen sister in Rich in Love (summer ’92).

James Marshall (James Hurley) plays a Marine on trial in A Few Good Men with Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson (December ’92).

Michael Ontkean (Sheriff Harry S. Truman) is currently filming Go Between, a USA Network TV movie (April).

Ray Wise (Leland Palmer) plays a political campaign manipulator in September’s Bob Roberts, starring and directed by Tim Robbins.
